Allergies Prevention

  1. Try not to be outdoors when its windy, as pollens are more rampant in the air.
  2. Abstain from rubbing or touching your eyes with your fingers. Wash your eyes with cold water if they feel itchy
  3. You may use artificial tear eye drops if you experience insufficient tears
  4. Withdraw from irritants like smoking, chemical fumes, or environmental toxins
  5. Increase consumption of Vitamin A and B supplements
  6. Windows need to be closed and, if possible, prefer using air conditioning
  7. Don’t dry clothes outdoors as they will collect pollens
  8. Keep your car windows closed as well in allergy season
  9. Assign tasks like lawn mowing, weeding and other gardening things to someone else
  10. Avoid going outdoors in the early morning as pollen count is highest then
  11. Air conditioning in the house and car should be fully utilised
  12. Use allergy-proof covers for mattresses and pillows13. Wash sheets and blankets frequently in heated water
  13. Vacuuming the carpets is essential
  14. Better yet, replace carpeting, if possible, with laminate flooring or other hard material which won't collect dust mites and other allergens, especially in your bedroom

Allergies Home Remedies

  1. Lime and Honey:Squeeze half a lime in a glass of lukewarm water and sweeten it with a teaspoon of honey. It is a great anti-toxic and anti-allergic agent.
  2. Banana: One or two bananas everyday day are helpful for those allergic to some food items and those who as a result suffer from skin rashes, digestive disorders, or asthma.
  3. Carrot: Carrot juice or a blend of carrot juice with beet and cucumber juices has been found to be valuable in allergy treatment
  4. Butterbur:Butterbur is an alternate name for petasites. It has proved to be beneficial in treating allergy symptoms.
  5. Almond [skin allergy]: Rubbing of mashed almond leaves on the affected skin area is highly favourable.
  6. Mint [skin allergy]: Make a paste garden mint using water, and mix it with sugar. Drink this syrup twice a day for instant relief.
  7. Lemon and coconut [skin allergy]: Application of a blend of lemon juice and coconut oil is an effective treatment for skin allergy
  8. Vineger [skin allergy]: Drink a glass of water mixed with two tablespoons of cider vinegar for skin allergy relief
  9. Neem (Azadirachta indica) [skin allergy]: All parts of neem can be utilised for treating skin allergies. Most of the time, leaves of Neem are made into paste to be applied for skin disorders and allergies.
